Composite Testore School cello recording
This magnificent cello has an exquisite, even and powerful Italianate tone. The front is attributed to the Testore School circa 1750, supported by a recent dendrochronology report. The maple head and the willow back and ribs are of unknown provenance. The varnish is a rich red brown. With a receipt from Peter Biddulph dated 1987.
