John Morrison cello recording
A late cello by John Morrison (1760-1827) in excellent condition, the refined arching and translucent red-gold varnish showing the very best of his mature work. This cello has been the first instrument of a professional player and has a rich bass, clear and effortless treble and a quick, rewarding response under the bow.
John Morrison was trained by William Forster and ran a series of shops in London.
