Charles Plumerel cello recording
This beautiful French cello was made in Mirecourt by Charles Plumerel between 1845 and 1850. Played by the principal cellist at the ENO many years ago, this subtly powerful cello has a clear, expressive, generous tone and an even response. The condition is good, with a number of visible repairs. Signed internally on the front upper treble bout. Certificate from Jean-Jacques Rampal.
To arrange an appointment to try this cello, please telephone +44 (0)1353 668559 or email in advance. Cellos can be taken out on approval for two weeks; there is no charge for insurance.
