An immaculate cello by this sought-after maker,  based on the 'Cristiani' Stradivari model.  The tone is deep and smooth and projects extremely well; the cello has a rich orange varnish.

A fine example of the work of the last generation of the Forster family with characteristically rich red-brown  varnish.  This cello has a rich and satisfying tone and is a real pleasure to play.

Paul Meinel-Grünwald cello 1914

A handsome instrument by a respected German maker who spent most of his working life in Switzerland.   The tone is deep, rich and even with an impressively powerful A string.  The varnish is a deep red brown.  The label reads:

István Kónya cello 1998

A stylish cello by a Hungarian luthier made famous by the patronage of Yehudi Menuhin.  This cello has an open, resonant and even tone and a beautiful transparent red-brown varnish over a golden ground.  This was the last cello made by Kónya before his death in 1999.  The cello comes with a certificate  from Stefano Conya, István Kónya's son who lives and works in Cremona, Italy.

Small ¾ cello c.1780

A most unusual and exceptionally well preserved small cello with a beautiful tone and red-brown varnish.  The body of the instrument is unusually broad for an instrument of this length, giving it considerable tonal power and depth.  This cello would be an ideal candidate for baroque conversion.
